Abstract: News media companies are experimenting with the notion of convergence to achieve the goals of news quality and economic benefit. This research concerns how the traditional newspaper and Internet converged in a hybrid newsroom. Based on the results of the interviews, participating observations, and framing analyses, this study tries to establish an applied convergence models of the New York Times. It suggests that the practice of the Times could provide significant insights of convergence for journalism scholars and news workers.
