Human Resource is one of the most valuable assets & the main source of achieving competitive advantage for an organisarion. Managing human resources is very challenging as compared to managing any other resource such as information, technology or capital. Employee Retention is a natural building block of an organization’s survival as well as success. Therefore, in this paper, an humble attempt has been made to examine the relationship of HRM practices with employee retention in private sector banks in Haryana (India). It was found that human resource management practices prevalent in selected private sector banks significantly impact employee retention.
