Nowadays, water has a vital role in human life. There are many ways to save water that each of them can prevent the loss of water. Industries especially chemical industries are one of the main consumers of water. Coolers consume the majority of water of industries. Using nanoparticles of metal, metal oxide and nanotubes in base fluid (water, ethylene glycol, oil) can reduce the consumption of base fluid significantly. In this study, with an experimentally setup, flow rate of water consumption for pure water is compared with nanofluid. The results indicated that dispersing of 0.7% nanoparticle volume fraction in base fluid (water) can reduces water consumption or size of heat exchanger 21.6% or 40%, respectively. Therefore, using nanofluids in industry particularly coolers instead of pure water can be observed a significant decreasing in water consumption.
