The Patient Care Round (PCR) in the hospital composes of the Patient Safety Round (PSR) and Nursing Care Management Round (NCMR). It is a proactive approach aiming at improving the quality and safety (Q&S) of care PSR & NCMR have been implemented since May 2012 and December 2014 respectively. The PSR is an interdisciplinary monitoring process which engages senior executives, physicians, nurses and allied health staffs. NCMR is performed by senior nurses together with case nurses. With the PCR, numbers of improvements have been implemented in response to recommendations or suggestions made. PCR is thus widely recognized by staff to be crucial for the provision of Q&S patient care.
