Abstract: The study has explored how to train students to master the skill of prediction and reflection. During one- semester training, the students are required to fulfill two listening practices in the class, and they should also write the diaries aiming at improving their metacognitive knowledge out of the classroom. Results reveal that prediction and reflection can improve students’ listening proficiency and metacognitive knowledge as well as the awareness of listening process.
