Abstract: The study explores the meaning of social media among TV news journalists who are early adopters of new technology. Using an in-depth interview method, the researcher examined motivation of social media use by broadcasters. While journalists identified Twitter and Facebook as the main social media sites utilized, they indicated the sites were used for very different purposes.
