Abstract:
The review of the different types of models that are developed and tested for architectural courses displays the challenges faced by the students in terms of structural issues and new technologies. Through a comparative case study in France and Australia, our research aims at assessing the contribution of model-making to improve engineering skills in architecture curriculum. The ultimate goal is to assess the efficiency of this specific pedagogical approach in order to contribute to the emerging demands of the industry, such as more collaborative and integrated work for a better sustainable built environment.
