Abstract:

In this study, we conduct a review of literature on business – IT strategic alignment and sustainable competitive advantage. We argue that conceptual shortcoming, such as the lack of clarity inconstitutive definition of alignment construct. We propose a conceptual definition of business – IT strategic alignment. we conclude this article stressing that additional theoretical and endeavors regarding business- IT strategic alignment and sustainable competitive advantage are needed , emphasizing that such efforts should be conducted with greater attention to the issues discussed in this review. The result shows that some of the hypothesis were supported except for some of the hypothesis were not supported.
