Abstract:
An experimental system to measure the effect of the natural weather especially the rain on heat transfer of walls in Guangzhou is built. The temperature field, moisture content field and the distribution of the heat flux are measured in sunny and rainy days. The experiment results in sunny days show that the thermal performance of the system built is good enough to measure the process of the heat transfer of the walls subject natural weather. The experimental results in rainy days show the rainfall and the solar radiation are the most important factors to affect the heat transfer of the walls. The rain can cool the surface of the walls well. The application of the rain evaporation cooling to buildings in Guangzhou has some potential.
