The authors examine improved workflows for UVW mapping polygon models. These techniques can be used in conjunction with other UVW techniques. The maps created by using these methods, when used in conjunction with each other and low polygon models, can create high fidelity assets for game applications. This paper discusses UVW unwrapping and why we need it, the current workflow, and what has changed allowing us to improve the work flow. Presented in this paper are a quick overview of traditional technique and two methods to improve the workflow process, with examples.
