Interval Oriented Entropy Based Multi-item Solid Transportation Problem with Budget and Breakability-A Two-Stage Approach

Abstract:  In this paper we propose two new models in solid transportation problem (STP). When we transport the goods through different routes few items should be damage and breaking for the items depends on “type of conveyance” and “transported amount”. For this reason we solved two transportation models taking breakability. The entropy function is also used as an additional objective function which acts as a measure of dispersion. To illustrate the model, numerical example has been presented. The effect of entropy on transported amount is illustrated.
