Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the difference between the expected and realized migration flow after the Shea-San tunnel’s opening on National Highway 5 in Taiwan. This paper reports on a four-phase research project, conducive the analytical procedure toward Qualitative and Quantitative Economics. Phase 1 supplements the cross-region population move with the related foreign relocation experiences. Phase 2 create a cognitive V- typed map after qualitative. The third phase is a quantitative phase, with the purpose of adjusting the cognitive map from Phase 2. Phase 4 reexamines the above mixed-method approaches or Phase 3’s cognitive map after quantitative, aiming at reconstructing the all- encompassing relocation style while confronting new behavior reaction to the sluggish adjustment along with overloaded freeway system.
