Abstract: This paper is divided in to three parts: the first deals with the genesis and the characteristics of traditional media and its wide reach and the impact factor. The second part deals with the realities of the child abuse and their rights, government policies and statutory provision and a real scenario of the problem and seriousness. The third part deals with the traditional media and its action in respect of exposing the reality and the gravity of the situation in its own way.
