Abstract: The information of the rock properties can be observed with the help of core samples and well logs. This outcome was averaged into effective large scale information by using statistical techniques which help to find the spatial arrangement of these properties. Geostatistics or statistical sciences is the approach which is based on the studies of spatial and temporal phenomena. It depends on the trend of spatial relationships to model available information of variable(s) at unobserved and unsampled locations. The statistical technique known as kriging was used to find porosity and permeability in the study area with the help of spatial relationship (the geological continuity model) between the data and the unknown to produce a single best guess of the porosity and permeability of the reservoir horizon. Kriging "optimal interpolation" helped to generate best linear unbiased estimation. The idea is to construct numerical model of the rock properties i.e., porosity and permeability that honor available data. By using kriging technique the different parameters like porosity and permeability models were built in the study area. Each parameter was determined by using variogram to identify spatial relationship of data which help to find the rock properties in NW of Bonaparte Basin.
