Abstract:
This study examined the relationship between individual proactive personality and proactive behavior in the context of organizational restructuring, and the moderating effect of team learning behavior. Surveys were distributed to employees in a telecommunications company in Taiwan. A total of 187 valid responses were received. Two important results were found. First, proactive personality was positively associated with the seven types of proactive socialization tactics. Second, unexpectedly, team learning behavior negatively moderated the relationship between proactive personality and proactive socialization tactics. Implications of these findings are discussed.
