Abstract:
As a decision support tool, business intelligence has much to offer to business organizations, but before they can implement a business intelligence system they must first make the decision to adopt it. Their employees and managers must also be convinced to fully adopt it. This paper looks at business intelligence as an innovation and discusses the adoption of this innovation making user of Roger's theory of Innovation Diffusion. Research data for the study was collected from 450 companies in Australia and analyzed using Structured Equation Modeling techniques.
