Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to answer the question of which International agendas influence education policy and practices in the Colombian Faculties of Law education. It is organized into two sections: first, there is a short introduction explaining policy transfer in general education and the key features of the Program for International Students Assessment (PISA), the standard marking design which is widely used to evaluate law students in Colombia. I then analyze the arguments for implementing this kind of standardized test in entitling law students to become lawyers in this country. Following this, I draw some conclusions about the implications of this analysis for Law faculties in Colombia. The main argument of this paper is that education in Law should not be measured by standardized tests such as PISA.
