Abstract: The present study aimed to (i) compare the motivation and enjoyment level among various types of physical activities; (ii) investigate the effect of exergame on motivation and enjoyment level. A total of 144 university students were recruited and they were randomly assigned to three groups, namely the exergame, handball, and taekwondo groups. Results showed that there were significant interaction effects in enjoyment, identified regulation, and external regulation among the three groups. These results suggest that traditional physical education course can be complemented with exergames to provide positive influence on the motivation and enjoyment level of university students in physical activities.
