Abstract: The study attempts to find out the gap between the expectations of achieving work-family enrichment and the actual experience of work-family enrichment among the working couples. The study also explores the understanding that employees have about work-family enrichment and their experience about the same. It relies on the grounded theory methodology (interviews with 17 dual working parents) for the study. Majority of the research in work-family literature has been with individual as a unit of analysis. With increased number of families with dual working parents it’s important to understand their work-family interaction considering that interdependencies they have. Practitioners may design their policies and practices based on the findings to enhance overall performance of the organization and help individual’s experience work-family enrichment.
