Abstract: Heat management is a crucial task of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems. In the last several years, different temperature controllers have been successfully designed for various SOFC systems. However, designing the individual controller for the various systems is an inefficient and timeconsuming task. Therefore, in this work, a robust temperature controller based on an H loop-shaping method is proposed, which can control the temperature steady near the enactment value in working for the various SOFC systems. First, twelve individual SOFC models with different operating conditions are built. Then the gaps between the various SOFC systems are calculated. According to the results, a nominal model for the SOFC is selected. Finally, based on the selected nominal model, the H loop-shaping robust controller is designed to control the temperature for the three different SOFC systems. The simulation results reveal that the robust temperature controller can make the temperatures steady at the desired values for the various SOFC systems.
