Abstract: Many benefits of horticultural therapy were showed throw sensory stimulation. The aromatherapy included in the horticultural therapy which is the alternative medicine that utilized a plant or its essential oil is utilized in various application scenes. We decided to inspect a relaxation and cognitive impairment reduction effects of Health Care Chamber: HCC (1.3ATA; 0.013MPa) and aroma by examining influence on ANS. In HCC, the environmental PO2 led to a modest increase in biological oxygenation, the autonomic nervous system (ANS) affect. So, electrocardiogram (ECG) was measured using a continuous wave frequency spectrum analysis, the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) has been retracted, the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) was confirmed to be enhanced. From this it was estimated that relaxation effects can be obtained by the action of SNS and PNS in HCC. In addition, the conditioning effect of ANS was expected by combination of aroma (essential) oils used in olfactory stimulation of aroma referred to be highly effective and relaxing. And the improvement example of cognitive impairment reduction was accepted by an evaluation before and after the HCC + Aroma intervention. It is necessary to push forward studies more, HCC and olfactory stimulation of aroma (essential oils) were able to expect relaxation and cognitive impairment reduction effect by using it together. Generally both the aroma and HCC had effective in improving autonomic nervous system, but there seemed not so clear. It was recognized that we could expect an effect to follow a medical act by using them together for cognitive impairment.
