Abstract:

Health is the concern of every one for every one. Attention to health is central to the objective of general education. Children need good health for effective learning and the educational career offers various opportunities to teach about health. Relevant literature was reviewed to enrich the knowledge on selected phenomena and it facilitated in selecting appropriate conceptual model, develop a framework and research plan.The research design adopted was pre experimental one group pretest/posttest No control group design. The conceptual frame work for the study was based on Everett Rogers diffusion of Innovation model. Sample free technique was adopted to select the desired sample. The sample obtained was 90 with 18 change agents and 72 peer group. Paired 't' test was used to evaluate the effectiveness of Child to Child approach and Karl Pearson's co-efficient of correlation was used to find out the relationship between communication skills, leadership qualities, academic performance, co-curricular activities, extracurricular activities and personal activities of the change agents with the post test knowledge of the peer group.
