Abstract: The primary purpose of this paper is to describe an intensive shared book reading strategy, Dialogic Reading that can be delivered using books that support having a growth mindset for learning. First we introduce the rationale and conceptual framework for the intervention and second, we describe the evidence base for the intervention. A secondary purpose is to provide resources for training teachers and parents. Resources include links to reports on the research, a video modeling the intervention, a tip sheets for parents in multiple languages, and a link to a website for e-books that are commercially available that provide dialogic reading questions.
