Abstract: Developing a fully online distance-external course in exercise and sports science has many hurdles to overcome. These courses or degrees do not just appear and they to go through many rigorous checks and balances in terms of quality assessment, quality assurance and quality improvement even before to they get to the stage of actual development of LearnLine websites. When internal approval is achieved then another host of androgogical and technical challenges have to be mastered based on input from multiple academics and web site developers before the final product or degree is ready for release to students. This paper takes you through the process from start to release and reflects a process that can take to two years to achieve.
