Abstract: This paper highlights the standard and non standard use of prepositions, in, on and at, among nine-year-old children. The data was obtained through a teacher-created learner corpus, named CLAL, which was drawn from the pupils’ written compositions. The findings suggest a need to approach the teaching of grammar in a constructive way.
