Abstract:
Virtualization has recently become enabling technology in various applied areas from networks to automotive. An example can be integrating several automobile ECUs on a single chip. However, virtualizing real-time systems has only recently been established as a research area and some particular issues like minimizing virtual machines context switches did not get a particular attention. In this work adapt conventional realtime compositional scheduling scheme for virtual environment and propose solution for minimizing the number of virtual machine context switches on underutilized platform.
