Abstract:
This report provides an assessment for FY 2010 of the economic contribution of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU)-Prescott Campus to Yavapai County, Arizona. Three aspects of economic impact analyses are demonstrated: direct, indirect and induced. The analysis describes the sources of funds received by the University and how they are dispersed in the form of compensations to employees, students and the local economy. ERAU is a major contributor to the social and economic progress of the people in Yavapai County. An analysis of the economic impacts associated with the spending of the University was conducted using IMPLAN input-output modeling software. Areas of impact considered were limited to four: University operations, University payroll, student spending, and visitor spending. The purpose of this report is to identify and assess the economic impacts that may result from the University’s operations on the local economy.
