Abstract:
What are the consequences of Video Game Addiction? With lawmakers, doctors and concerned parents policing sex, violence and language in video games, should the video game makers begin to self police in the area of addiction before the lawmakers and other groups can? With the reasonable success of the game industries self rating system should we also be looking at ways to stem off the potential lawsuits and government controls or bans over this newest addiction.
