Abstract:
In recent years, electronic games have become more and more important in the lives of children and youth. Children acquire digital literacy informally by playing games. Neither schools nor other educational institutions are paying enough attention to this important aspect. Given the importance of gaming among children and youth, educators need to inject edutainment or make the education system more play-centric. The importance and the advantages of exposing educational video games to children and youth are also discussed.
