Abstract:
Detail sedimentological analysis for the Jurassic sequence of Central Eromanga Basin has been carried out by using wireline log data of Naccowlah East-2. Jurassic sequence of Eromanga Basin consists of complex depositional system, which is good for the multiple reservoir delineation and to locate stratigraphic traps for future hydrocarbon optimization. Results indicate that Jurassic succession is composed mainly of braided fluvial and meandering fluvial lithofacies, deposition which was controlled by rise and fall in base level, and hence conforming the potential of stratigraphic traps. Mainly composite log display used to interpret sedimentology with core reports.
