Abstract:

Preparation of partially sub-2μm silica particles and their modification to polystyrene bound silica particulate stationary phase have been carried out using 3-chloropropyltrimethoxy silane as the halogen Ligand and sodium diethyl dithiocarbamate as the initiator entity, through Reversible Addition Fragmentation Chain Transfer (RAFT) polymerization. The resultant stationary phase showed high separation efficiency in comparison to previous studies . A mobile phase of 60/40 ACN/Water, 0.1{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465}TFA, was used at a flow rate of 15μl/min.
