Resistance of hydrocarbon – degrading microorganisms exposed to UV radiation

Abstract:

We studied the resistance of hydrocarbon- degrading microorganisms - Achromobacter xylosoxidans, Bacillus subtilis subsp, Tessaracoccus flavescens, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, exposed to UV radiation. It was shown that the survival of hydrocarbon- degrading microorganisms under the action of UV -radiation is higher than that of commercial resistant strain E. coli JM105A. It was shown the stimulating effect of UV - radiation on the growth of selected hydrocarbon - degrading microorganisms.
