Abstract:
Influenza A virus (IAV) is the causative agent of significant respiratory infections in different species. Conventional drugs (amantadine and oseltamivir) have shown high frequency of resistance towards influenza viruses. Therefore, search for other drugs which bypass the possibility of developing resistance is highly demanded. This study focused on three statins effects on influenza A virus replication evaluated by HA, MTT and qRT-PCR assays based on NP and M2 genes.
