Abstract:
Due to differences between laboratorial and practical situation of asphalt in a road construction project, a global investigation has been done on grain materials, graded material, bitumen and filler of Topeka. The main consideration in this research was on Bulk specific Gravity of grain materials and learning how it affects other characteristic of asphalt. For this reason a 5 samples of raw material is selected and one of them is specified as witness.
In this article, effect of fluctuation in Bulk specific Gravity of Aggregates which is a factor of exploiting position, width of river, water velocity and also distance from dam, on main parameters of asphalt like density, void, void which is filled by bitumen, stability and flowing of asphalt, with considering AASHTO and ASTM, according to different bitumen amount, is investigated.
