Abstract:
Architecture and its phenomena are recognized very individually. To understand and to discuss different evaluations of different persons or cultures on a certain and/or on different buildings. To accept these different views we need a common basis making the evaluations transparent. Dividing an evaluation into
- objective criteria
- objective measuring methods on one side
- subjective values of individuals on the other side
in conjunction with basic thoughts of value benefit analysis can offer this necessary transparency. Comparing buildings or archi-tecture is enabled by this, too.
