Abstract: Today’s business environment is very competitive. To win the tough competition, companies have to be professionally managed and should adopt an organizational learning climate to support their employees to achieve high performance. In addition, managers’ satisfaction and affective commitment are required to reach an optimum organizational performance known as an organizational effectiveness (OE).
Affective commitment which refers to managers’ commitment towards the company’s vision and mission encourages managers to deliver their best performance. Based on the literature reviews, both the organizational learning climate and managers’ affective commitment are assumed to affect the OE. This study attempts to find out the correlation between job satisfaction and affective commitment. In addition, this study attempts to find out the correlation among the following variables: affective commitment, learning climate and OE. The results show that the three variables are significantly correlated one another.
It is strongly indicated that the organizational learning climate and in particular the affective commitment of the managers play an essential role in the achievement of high OE. This study also identifies the potential managers’ motivators i.e. job autonomy, human development and challenging job.
