Abstract:
The most affected audience from the exposure of violence in TV contents is children as their message analysis skills are not adequate yet depending on the life experience. Media has become an indispensable part of our daily life with their developing technology and attractive texts. Particularly, the television has a more important role than being a tool for free-time activities. Television that uses visual elements colorfully and actively is a source of explaining the life especially for the children. It is an environment which teaches, social life routines, social and ethical values which seem complex for children. When it is thought that violence is also a learned behavior (Köknel, 1996), the importance of TV in terms of shaping children’s mind is becoming more obvious. The news claimed that it is the reflection of the reality. The difference of it from the other texts is the claim that it is not fictional. The studies about Television-Child-Violence usually examine the fictitious texts (cartoons, soap operas, etc.) that are broadcasted on TV. A text which claims that it is real is much more dangerous than the text known to be fictitious. Our purpose is to try to analyze the news that are out of all fiction broadcasts and consumers accept positively as it is a need for the first time from the children’s perspective and to remind the producers of the news that there are children among the consumers. Our purpose is to try to analyze the news that are out of all fiction broadcasts and consumers accept positively as it is a need for the first time from the children’s perspective and to remind the producers of the news that there are children among the consumers. As the first ones to be protected during the war time are children, our purpose is to indicate that there is a need for protection of children who has not worn his protective shield on his brain.
