Abstract:

Use of automatic electronic devices for blood pressure monitoring at home and in the clinic has increased progressively in recent years. To validate these devices, this study compares 21 arm models and 6 wrists models available and popularly used on the market against a sphygmomanometer.

In this study, blood pressure measurements from both groups showed that the arm devices perform better than the wrist counterparts.
