Urban renewal strategies for Catholic Church historical block in Qiqihar based on the concept of cultural regeneration

Abstract:

With the rapid development of city and continuous improving of people's living standard, people also have higher requirements about the quality of the space environment. Urban renewal has become the urgent problems to be solved in city development. In the process of urban renewal, many cities exist a lot of similarities. How to better reflect the character of local culture in urban renewal is an important study of urban design. This paper summarizes the connotation of cultural regeneration, and analysis the applicability of cultural regeneration in urban renewal. Based on the concept of cultural regeneration to analyze the present situation of Catholic Church historical block in Qiqihar and classify the regional characteristics of culture. Find out the existing problems about cultural heritage in the historic blocks. The update strategy of Catholic Church historic blocks in Qiqihar is proposed based on the concept of cultural regeneration. It provides the basis for the renovation of the old city center.
