Abstract:
Although there is a considerable number of studies on the time-dimension of European politics, the lack of academic discourse over the temporal dynamics of other regional organizations is still noticeable. Under the neo-institutionalist definition of institutions as humanly devised constraints and the comprehension of politics as path dependent process involving positive feedback, this paper seeks to elucidate the temporal logic that underlies political cooperation of Southeast Asian states.
