Abstract:
Testifying via written testimony from his Russian refuge, Edward Snowden answered a series of questions for the European Parliament on March 7, 2014, linked to his unprecedented disclosures of U.S. security secrets. The rationale for our panel is that it probes the issues of privacy and national security, providing a new vantage point for analysis of these two vital constructs. Moreover, it explores the roles played by media coverage in this discussion.
