Abstract:
The pace of new developments in architectural design and performance combined with its growing dependence on innovative engineering ideas often determine conservation design with regard to materials, technology and function. The result is an active conservation approach with its ideas of free creation which does not view a historic object with its cultural, historic or spatial context as an extra burden of the past.
