Abstract:
Metamorphosis of women from where they have been either religiously eulogized or mercilessly excoriated to bear familial responsibilities and societal roles to an independent, free and rational being where they have been accepted though not without raised eyebrows and constant fudges has not been an overnight wonder. However, the new women no longer hold men responsible for their plight; leaving bitterness behind, now they are on their voyage to trace their own identity with firm belief in themselves. This paper focuses on how assertively women have embarked on the odyssey, how they have worked hard to go by their own decisions and ultimately how they take their own course of life, bear the result of their actions and how gloriously they bask in their achievements, however insignificantly trivial they might seem to others.
