Abstract:

In the current context of transformation of legal and social regulation, the many different standards and the meaning that they convey naturally force individuals to choose among them. In this study, we focused on the phenomenon of normative pluralism as a vector for the social bond. From this perspective, the interpretation of norms and the meanings they convey is closely tied to the conception that the individual has of the meaning of his or her actions and role in interpersonal and social relationships. The empirical research discussed here was used to model the complex relationship between the actor studied – including the
meaning the actor gives to his or her action and his or her conception of his or her role in the social bond – and norms.
