Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to show the interconnection of architecture and neurosciences in order to find human-centred solutions that can help to improve the built environment for the well-being of diverse people. The human-centred approach focuses to create an environment that is friendly, accessible, safe, healthy and satisfying the requirements of a wide range of people. This approach emphasizes the impact of multi-sensory elements on the holistic perception of the built environment. The human-centred approach is implemented in the research and education at the Faculty of Architecture, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
