Abstract:

This paper explores the development of healthcare architecture during the Renaissance. Healthcare architecture was driven by the development of public health level at different times. Renaissance was a great human civilization peak in nearly all social aspects and healthcare architecture began to separate from religious space from that time. With the background of medical progress and public health, including both social recognition and medical science improvement, this paper analyses healthcare architecture design at that time through urban perspective, plan design and user attitude based on a collection for some famous hospital buildings.
