Abstract:
In 2013, No.1 Document of China Central Government brought forward the goal of building beautiful countryside. Beautiful countryside construction is a village beautiful movement which is based on the agriculture civilization. It is different from the city beautiful movement which is based on the industry civilization. Besides improving villages’ environment, the construction of beautiful countryside needs to pay attention to scientific planning and production development, so as to improve the living standards of villagers. The paper investigates the current “beautiful countryside” planning and implementation in Anxin County, which is located within the newly-announced Xiong-an New Area in Hebei Province, China. Via documents and interviews, taking the Dadiantou village in Anxin County as an example, the research examines the whole planning process of its beautiful countryside project, including preparation before implementation, planning compilation and specific implementation measures. Through the above analysis, the paper identifies the problems during the process of the beautiful countryside construction, such as Loss of regional characteristics, incompletely construction, weak regional consciousness and low participation of villagers, and unreasonable industry structure.
