Abstract:

Similar with many developed countries in the world, Singapore is facing ageing population and the challenges of creating a sustainable design to optimise the limited resources. This presentation attempts to illustrate the approach adopted by Singapore to meet the twin challenges. It will illustrate the linkage between Singapore public housing and healthcare infrastructure. It will also focus on the efforts from HDB & MOH in tackling ageing population and the various sustainable initiatives. Finally, it gives a glimpse of good overseas practice and the potential area of development for the future healthcare infrastructure.
