Abstract:

The population of Saudi Arabia has been increasing rapidly over the last few years, resulting in a massive need for homes and energy. Residential buildings in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia consume more than 70{6e6090cdd558c53a8bc18225ef4499fead9160abd3419ad4f137e902b483c465} of the total building energy consumption. The construction materials of the buildings have a significant impact on the energy consumption of residential buildings in Saudi Arabia, and major savings in air-conditioning energy can be made by adopting the appropriate construction type.
