Abstract: the design of most analogue electronic circuit is implemented based manual techniques due to the drawbacks of many of the available tools. This is why there is urgent need for powerful optimization techniques which can assist the design process. In this paper, we provide our initial idea of using Differential Evolution (DE) technique to design analogue electronic circuit and specially passive and active filters. The produced results show that DE can effectively help in finding the optimal values of the circuit parameters (i.e. resistor, capacitor and Inductor). The developed circuits were tested with significant results.
